Saskatchewan phones displaying the wrong time
There is currently an error with some phone brands displaying the incorrect time for Saskatchewan.
Affected Brands:
- Yealink
- SNOM
Affected timezones:
- Canada/Saskatchewan
- America/Regina
This issue occurs during daylight savings time (March to Nov), and causes the time sent to phones to be an hour ahead of expected in Saskatchewan.
The issue only effects the time displayed on phones, and does not effect the web portal or timeframes used for business hours, etc.
There are two ways to fix this issue:
1: Temporarily changing the timezone to Canada/Mountain and changing back after the next DST change.
2: Adding specific overrides based on your phone model.
To add an override to your phone, navigate to Phones->Button Builder->3 Dots->Additional Phone settings
Paste the relevant override for your phone model below into the Overrides text box->Done
On the bottom of the page, click the triangle->Save and resync
Your phone will now resync and/or reboot to apply the changes.
